Hardware acceleration, e.g. OpenGL, comes with its own pain. Avogadro
uses it, but currently broken on Ubuntu Intrepid. It's more powerful,
and Jmol has to do fancy stuff manually, not taking advantage of the
graphical card... on the up side, it just works anywhere. OpenGL,
unfortunately, is a different story.
