Angel and I have been testing the August 1 release of JSmol (no Java) here:
http://biomodel.uah.es/en/model4/dna/dnapairs.htm

In Safari and Chrome on OS X Mavericks, an alert pops up during loading of JSmol "JSmolCore.js synchronous binary file transfer is requested but not available".
This does not occur in Firefox.

In Windows 7, this alert does NOT occur in Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Opera, but DOES occur in Chrome.

We have not yet tested the August 3 release.

Thank you Nick and Jaime for the testing. I also found that 14.x.3 broke the mmCIF reader, so I've released

___JmolVersion="14.2.4_2014.08.03"
note: synchronized release of 14.3.4 and 14.2.4

bug fix: annotation atom sets not adjusted for added hydrogens
bug fix: 14.3.3_2014.08.02 broke mmCIF reader
bug fix: BinaryDocument (Spartan file) reading broken in 14.1.12_2014.03.18
