Salam All
There is a short answer to this thread subject. We did not go wrong. For the long answer keep reading. How do we measure success: - Number of users? - Events attendees? - Linux market penetration? - Open source adoption? - Number of converts? - Your agenda here..... All the above? None of the above? Some of the above? It does not matter. To each his own. This key word here is L USERS G. We are here. We use Linux. We have a great place. We meet regularly. What else do we need. Some events are a success. Some are not. It happens. Reasons. Serendipity. Lets not over analyze it. Having all members attend every event is not possible nor it is a requirements. There will be less confusion once people stop thinking of us as some kind of a platoon acting coherently to achieve a common goal. We are not. If you _use_ Linux then you come join us. Why you use it? is up to you. Suppose we reach saturation and there are no more Linux users in Jordan anymore. We are it. Do we declare mission accomplished, close shop and go home? I guess not. So, if you want to have a social meeting then organize one, two or 100. You could have 100 member show up. Great. If not then deal with it. You all have all the LUG resources under your deposition. Web and List. Organize anything you want. If you can/want/able. Personally, most likely, I will show up to whatever you organize. But if I don't then don't think too much of it, It happens. :) Wassalam Alaikum wr wb Abdallah ps. How about a meeting in the Dead Sea? It will be the "Lowest LUG meeting" in the world. No kidding. :P --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Jolug" group.
