Hi,
I just want to make a point, what Yahoo, Msn, and google are providing is
not software, it's a service, that in the end you cannot change, for example
you cannot change Yahoo's homepage to look the way you like it. so what is
the difference if they claim they support open source or not .... well if
google is an open source supporter, why don't they open the code for gtalk,
so someone might port it to *nix.
The important thing for us is if they provide a good service or not.
Also, if Microsoft acquired Yahoo, well Microsoft is a company that profit
is what it wants, they won't be that stupid to shut down Yahoo, just to
prove a point, it would take them years to port everything to pure M$
systems.and it's going to cost them Billions.

In the end Microsoft is not pure evil, and Google is not the guardian angel,
for these companies the open source support is a marketing decision more
than an actual thing, a lot of the companies that claim they support open
source were once pure evil before, (IBM, Sun, ... etc.), like what they were
living in sin, now they washed them selves of it.

I guess there is more important things to deal with than what these
capitalists are making, how about DRM, patent, privacy. there is no evil and
good in such world.
