Actually one of the Janis film projects did include Melissa. But I think that idea lost gusto once she stopped singing and tried to act. I fact have heard the Melissa version has been scrapped. I know I am "supposed" to be a big fan, and I have seen her in concert, but I am not. I think she rocks out all right, but I think she maybe one of those who's best writing (limited as it was) is behind her or she just doesn't have much left in the tank.
