in my view indifference is worse. It devalues. It ignores the humanity of someone. > it just dissipates after time. THEIR HATE NEVER DISSIPATES!! you are getting confused here. The PLO did not cause 11/09. There are many reasons for 11/09, the unjustified support of Israel being one of them. Demonising people, or a whole group or race of people, does not help. I am sure you and others would not write in this way about another racial group and I fail to see why it is okay to write in such a way about this racial group., the Arabs. Racism is racism and prejudice is prejudice regardless of the race it is aimed at. 11/09 was a truly terrible happening and in no way can evr be jusitfied. But I am stunned at the resulting hatred (disgusied as it may be) and racism it has produced in people, including some I have grown to like and espect. Some of the mail, the jokes etc I have been sent has truly appalled me. You are right bree, I am pretty pessimistic along with you. To find that a lot of the belifs I hold and I my firends hold were just lip service is truly depressing.
