It was written by James Ingram, recorded by BOTH of them, and the recording appeared on BOTH of their albums. On Michael McDonald's album it reads "with James Ingram" and on James' album it says "featuring Michael McDonald." BTW it won the Grammy in 1984 for Best Rhythm and Blues Performance By a Duo or Group With Vocal. Jerry
