Seriously I appreciate hearing a very unbiased non patronizing opinion.  As a lover of 
jazz
-especially jazz divas, while I enjoy Joni's renditions - I haven't really thought of 
her as a
major song stylist in that area - she hasn't blown me away!  AND I Absolutley believe 
who you work
& that chemistry is paramount. This seems elementry but I think often artists get 
comfortable with
eachother and mistake that for chemistry.  I do hope Joni works on style developement 
and
regaining some strength & power.  I happen to know that both Cyndi Lauper and Phoebe 
Snow use a
voice coach, and the same one as a matter of fact, or did, ... Wonder if Joni has 
considered this,
if she is not to busy "wrestling with her ego!"
