Les, my apologies for mistaking Joni's voice for Sue Mingus. This thread has evolved onto jazz. However, take Jack Bruce's music, if you're familiar with it. It's rock and yet he's got strange harmonies. Does this mean he's using the same kind of chords as jazz?
