I would put more stock in the White Sox' opinions about Iraq, North Korea, Bush, cowboys, etc., if they deployed some weapons of mass destruction of their own in the outfield, were engaged in an arms race on the pitchers mound, etc.

Since they don't I think your argument strikes out.
