Dear all, B & V (iji)!! Really nice to know that these comedies (even calamities!!) occur when it comes to names..Whats in a name after all?
When I was new to joynet, I used to receive mails from people asking what my name meant! I explained to many the research & technology done before the manufacturing of my name..I give the same here for u all. My parents wanted to call me Mariadas! that name didn't go well with grand parents and others:) so they had to put their heads together and come up with something else. That's when thought of making a new name for they're first born..This is the formula they invented ... me is the son of Jose & Susan so Jo+Su, the N is the first letter of our family name, Nellanikat:) + also I was born on a Sunday therefore SUN.. That's how it is Jo+Su+N = me Heres a bit more, like Viji & Biji there was a time I too I hated my name coz most of my peers branded me as "Josoon in the cocoon", some used to say sine theta + cosine theta = Josun the whole fool:), still others use to say Josun Jose, Gadha ka boss! (Josun Jose Donkeys boss!) etc etc.. Those times I really wondered, were my parents so impoverished for names that they had to concoct such a lousy name??! I didn't know any of the legal wrangles involved but I wanted another name, so I went to a loving priest told him about it. He's the one who helped me like my name:). He said, have u met any other person with ure name? I said no ( I swear till now I haven't!) then he went on, that's what u are, a unique, un-repeatable gift of God, never again will there be another u! what a beautiful name u have!,.. that was one of my first lessons in self acceptance.. To sum it all, this morning when I got up, I got up with a wonderful feeling.. that of being Josun Jose:). Make it a gr8 day, Each of u is unique with no carbon copies!!
