Can't say what city it is, but there is a blind rehab center here. Actually, it's the only blind rehab in the entire state. On top of that, you have the local college/university that has a pretty strong blind rehab department. Put those together and you get a population of about 30% where the ages of this population range between 15 and 30. I think I gave enough of the stats away for some people to have a good guess at it. If someone does guess it right, I wont confirm/deny since this is a public archive. ----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Chris Smart Sent: Sunday, July 11, 2010 7:42 PM To: JSonar -- JAWS Scripts for Sonar list Subject: Re: [Jsonar] How to tell what frequency range on a band audio is in.
Andy, you mention living in a town whose percentage of blind folks in the larger population is 30%. Can I ask where you live? That's a very intriguing statistic. Can I guess that there are many retired or elderly people there, given that most people experiencing some degree of vision loss are in let's say, the autumn years of their lives?
