Ok, to put a possitive cap on this thing, and to add clarification,
the track eq has two different modes.

I never consider the inspector pane access as the same thing as the track eq, technically it is, but another entire window opens up and you don't get access in the same way, nor do you get automation, not in the standard way from context menus, ie, doing automation snapshots, and having an up down arrow, enter and increment, decrement key to change parameters and such.

When plot is checked, and you see the number 1 or 2, or what ever
number your bus and or track is, you can context menu and change pre or post, or hit enter and get in to the plug-in window, which looks very much like the sonitus eq and has identical presets, and I haven't checked this yet, but probably the only different in the hsc sets are the top level window names because they look very close to me.

Don't hold me to every last control.

But using eq on buses whether separately, or on the same bus as effects gives you an infinite variety of possibilities,
of where to insert your equalizer.

Because it is much easier to re-order buses, than to re-order effects,
and as mentioned in my other emails, when doing things like d s processing to vocals and such, or tayloring frequency balancing in the chain, and also being able to easily by-pass certain parts of the chain, or eq, this is a great way to go.

Also, and this is very important, when you do things this way, you get meters on every part of the chain so you can see how much boost or cut you got moving between your effects and eq, and you can compensate if need be.

Also, when you apply compressors, and verb and such, often it will subtly change your initial eq balance, so having eq at different places will help aleviate this tendency, just try it, plug in a simple one bandn compressor, and see how the bass jumps out at you more, and or play with the knee value,
and see how the tone changes.

Ok, that's your freebe for the day.
