Once you have done this, the soft synth is inserted until you delete it.

If you close the plug-in dialog page for the synth with Alt+F4, then you
want to follow the steps I've given before by finding the first FX field and
then arrowing to the FX Rapture field and hitting enter. Then the
previously inserted synth dialog wil open up.

As for why you can't hear the output, my only guess is that you need to
route the output of the synth to an audio channel. It is not sufficient to
just insert the softh synth - it also needs an audio channel for output.

This should be described in the Sonar Help documentation on inserting a
softh synth.

my problem is solved! thank you for your valuable suggestions.
here is whatI have done:
at first, I have inserted an audio track. then, I have navigated to the effects bin which was empty. then, I hit the the application key and choose soft synth sub menu followed by enter on rapture. now an effect called "rapture" is inserted. though, there was no sound. I have checked the input and output and have seen that, the input is set to none! I tried to find the yamaha input but that was not there. now, I have inserted a new midi track and route the input to my yamaha keyboard and output to that audio track, where I have inserted the rapture efect before. oho! I can here the sound! I am writing this process in detail because, it may help some beginner user like me in future.
thank you once again for your contribution!
