This is the usual "buy vs. build" decision, and I don't think it's fair to
level that sort of accusation at JRUN (or any other vendor, for that matter)
without also acknowledging that there's usually a *greater* risk of not
getting an answer with OpenSource software than there is with a commercial
vendor. With a vendor, you can always threaten to yank your contract or file
a lawsuit; that sort of approach with OpenSource just isn't going to get you
anywhere.

Please don't misunderstand me--I'm not anti-OpenSource; I think OpenSource
is wonderful concept and needs to be promoted further. But the OpenSource
movement also has to understand that if it is to survive, it has to deal
with these corporate attitudes about vendor accountability.

(Let the flames begin, but only addressed to me, personally--let's leave the
list out of it if we get onto an OpenSource debate. It's not appropriate
here.)
