All, I've finally integrated the new Open File, Project and Recent and file drag/drop plug-ins into the core.
If you have any of your own Vector or Image file plug-ins have a look at the following files to see examples of using the new framework. At some point we should put together a short tutorial org.openjump.core.ui.io.file.DataSourceFileLayerLoader org.openjump.core.ui.io.file.ReferencedImageFactoryFileLayerLoader org.openjump.OpenJumpConfiguration look at the postExtensionInitialization method, this loads any data sources registered with the old DataSourceQueryChooserManager and sets the option for the GML plug-in.
