Here are some questions that might get some chatter going...
How many people are actively using Cold Fusion in their jobs?
I use CF extensively on our website - http://www.sunbeach.net
Uses a M$ SQL Server 2000 database and has quite a lovely administrative back end that allows me to manipulate the site quite quickly.
I also use it to develop for my other 'one-the-side' customers.
CF over MS for me - learning curve. I'm not much of a programmer, no VB, C++, PHP, etc. and tag-based is wickedly easy.
What companies in KC use Cold Fusion?
Not sure of anyone else.
What kind of a project are you currently involved in?
Still working on the Sunbeach website plus administration for our Users' Pages (http://users.sunbeach.net) and administration for our webhosting customers.
Are you involved in multiple projects at the same time?
For Sunbeach and my own business, definitely.
Are CF jobs usually temp/contract work or are the jobs full time/full benefits kind of work?
Both. I and sunbeach charge per contract as well as per hour.
How did you learn CF?
First with others who know if it, asked them questions and learned, playing with the tags and using CFDOCS a lot.
