FreeBSD 5 is -STABLE since FreeBSD 5.3-RELEASE and FreeBSD 6 will be -STABLE 
with the release of FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE.

The last official support FreeBSD 4 (i.e. security updates) will be terminated 
by the end of 2007.
