I think that would be fine if keyboard manufacturers could standardize
on the position of infrequently used keys.  Like ~` and  |\ if they
are even paired that way.
Also have to standardize on the contents of the numeric pad when not
in numeric mode.
Then there are also shift-lock and control and escape and alt, all of
which have a tendency to wander around.  To say nothing of "windows
keys" which Das Keyboard is proud to have.
