This is a statement that is simply often untrue. Not everyone, especially, elsewhere (in space or time) on this planet, has the luxury of not accepting a crap job. Of course you might say that they can let their family go homeless or hungry. Do you really think that most people who take "crap jobs" do so because they have the alternative to take a much better job? Opportunity is not that widely distributed.
