I have successfully faxed over VOIP many times but it requires a good connection. Overall I really hate FAX and always recommend my client just scan it and email it. It is quite easy with these all in one printer/scanner machines with sheet feeders people have these days. Occasionally FAX is still required but we always try to avoid it where possible.
