I did a quick search on news.google.com for BSA's activities, and it
seems their last high-profile case was against a company that was
blatantly violating the EULA. They were selling PC's with illegal
copies of Microsoft, Adobe, McAfee products(etc...) on it. The BSA
paid the price of the software, downloaded it, verified it was
illegal(unlicensed), and then proceeded to acquire a warrant...which I
guess is legit. The guy could've loaded it up with Ubuntu and been
safe ;-)

ps: What if your business bought a hundred desktops from that guy? Are
you liable for unknowingly buying and utilizing pirated software?
