That would be a strange one for a former employee to call the BSA and tell on a company with no Microsoft software. Maybe he/she thought it would cause more trouble but really, how could it? And I don't think open source is THAT well used so this example is probably not going to help anyone who does have a Microsoft license somewhere in the building. The BSA can just ask Microsoft too look up the name to see if there's anything current. But still, a great defense in more ways than one.
