The constant updates to my Linux systems, Debian and
Ubuntu, have made it impossible for me to keep them
current using my NetHere dial-up Internet connection.
Added to that, a recent two week stay at a friend's
house with a high speed cable connection, has shown me
how much my $10/mo. dial-up service has really been
costing me.

I would like to hear how others have solved this
problem. I don't have a TV, so package cable deals
won't work for me.

So far, AT&T's DSL "High Speed Internet Express" at
1.5 Mbps / 384 Kbps for $19.99 per month, looks best
to me, even though I'd be happier giving my business
to a smaller company.
