Yes, Steve's did come with large valves, but I have a friend who ordered a new set from him a couple of years ago and then now come with stock valves. There must be a reason for it and a reason why mine kept sinking into the seat. Must be that some people are more lucky than others. You may have better cooling than some have, who know, it is a mystery.
