It depends on how you're going to load it (need more input). One way it might make no real difference, and in another it'll only be as strong as the epoxy. The epoxy might work O if all you want to do is hold them together while they are in a tension situation (pulling in the long direction, not perpendicular to the glue line). It all depends...
