A very Important note to all DO NOT PUT SILICONE anywhere fuel is located. IT IS NOT FUEL PROOF. I have seen the results from someone making carby gaskets from silicone, it was not easy to clean out of the carb!!!!!!!!!!
I use fuel to wash the silicone off my hands and other surfaces. Yes fuel will dissolve and soften it.
