Hi larry, I never thought to use my BR chute as I was very confident that I could land in the paddock. Been there, done that when flying gliders cross country.
Looking back at it, knowing I was in trouble, I should have deployed it on touch down to slow/stop me before the contour line. Pitty the thought never entered my head.
