The KR is a beefy airplane for it's size but there are limits to any good thing. Anyone making changes to the structure in any way must take in to account how these changes affect the loading of the structure. If you "beef up" the structure in one area you are simply moving the stress to another area and ,in the end, you could actually have a weaker structure than one built to plans. If you don't know what you are doing, either build to plans or find someone with the knowledge to help you make the changes. Larry Flesner
