I am thinking it might be a fun mental exercise to make a circuit using
two small 4 pole relays
OMRON INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION MY4 AC24 (S)
and a SP/DT switch that would allow me to monitor all 4 cylinders with
CHT "AND" EGT by simply flipping one switch back and forth between CHT
and EGT. The two relays would give me 8 contacts when they are not
energized and another 8 contacts when they are energized. I'd have them
read CHT when de-energized as I'd consider that more critical. As the
information is not "flight critical" (it won't cause me to crash if it
fails) I'll give it some thought. Is this a "crash on takeoff" idea or
does it have merit? There is probably a major flaw here somewhere.
