I agree, one of the advantages of a TVA50 is it has no HD to wear
out. A TVA50 with the added memory card for a 1232 might also be a
solution depending on the number of lines, extensions, mailboxes. I
know of a 1232 in a bank branch which is maxed out and has a TVA50
attached. It is working flawlessly.

Bob the TVS-200 is an old system. The new TVA will work much better. It is
possible you are starting to loose the hard drive. The simple thing to do is
troubleshoot it by checking to see just what is happening like does it
happen to a certain mailbox. There is an adjustment for amount of time to
listen for voice audio. In other words is the person calling talking low or
is their audio low. Could be one of the first couple lines that has low
audio. Depending how big the system is, I suggest the TVA50 for smaller
systems like an 816 and a TVA200 for 1232 systems unless there is no room
for growth at the customer's end.
