Previous comments are fairly accurate.

When I arrive on the disaster scene (previous install) I have to lay out a
few ground rules with the customer. For instance: I am not responsible for
any existing wiring, so they will be charged for any repairs that may be
needed to that wiring, and also if the wiring is really a mess (most of you
know the type), I make it clear that it is very easy for something to go
wrong such as just by touching a loose wire- so the customer also must be
responsible for any of those repairs too.

cute story: I had told a customer just that. Their demarc was a complete
mess. I had to leave that job to tend to another customer emergency for
about an hour. During that hour I got a frantic call from them, stating that
a neighboring office had their main line go dead and the "guy is furious"!!!
I was already on my way back so I called and told them to hang on. Got
there, put the other guy's line back on right away (easy to find the problem
at the demarc). He was a very nice person and since he was expanding his
office in a week he proceeded to hire me to rewire his office and he wants a
KXTD1232 installed.

CAUTION:
I mentioned this before. If any of you guys get a call from an Internet
seller to install systems for them- DON'T do it as a SUB to them. Only as
yourself. If represent them and they treat the customer badly or worse,
disappear with your money, it can make you very unhappy.

What my customers want most:
Honesty, good work (and support), fairness in pricing.

> 4) We have not slowed down at all since the tragety.
