A few weeks ago I posted all my patches to the list and named it 0.70 as it was a follow-up from 0.69 and it was easier for me to manage it.
Will my changes be included in the cvs ?
You can find the patches and full version on: ftp://ftp.linux.lu/pub/people/thierry/l2tp-patch-0.70.tgz ftp://ftp.linux.lu/pub/people/thierry/l2tp-0.70.tgz
I am now changing the getPtyMaster to use openpty and am debugging some l2tpd freeze problem when using pptpd and l2tpd on the same server.
| For anyone that hasn't ever used Subversion...if you're comfortable with | CVS, the transition to Subversion (svn) is very easy. If you've never | used a source control system before at all...svn is fairly easy to pick | up. There are fewer obstacles in getting started with svn than there | are with cvs...the control of the source code repository seems to be | nicer...it uses HTTP authentication (Apache2, typically for svn), which | is tremendously easier to manage than cvs/ssh is. It gets, basically | for free, all the benefits of using an HTTP transport. Pretty cool | overall. | | Anyway...feel free to pull the code from svn. | | On other topics, it looks like I'm going to end up being a user of a | Linux l2tp implementation in the near future, so, perhaps the | combination of events will motivate me to update l2tpd with some of the | updates that I know have been floating around the list. Its hard to be | motivated when rp-l2tp is out there and its so much better in so many | ways...but I know a number of people are still actively using l2tpd, so | it deserves some attention.
Is rp-l2tp realy so much better ? I run l2tpd on production servers and it works pretty well now.
| I also am going to be looking to add some other developers/maintainers | for people that have been actively doing work on l2tpd patches recently | since its tremendously easier to do with Subversion than it ever hoped | to be with CVS. | | So...there's an update, let's see where we can go from here. :)
