When other resources fail -- me thinks, what about the Lacers?

So, I saw a car yesterday - was long and low, sort of like a Morgan

or MG from the 1930's. This car really looked a lot like a Morgan, except the front end was quite long.

The woman passenger pronounced the name of the car as "clin a" where the "a" sounds like the a in able. My guess would be that it is French (manfactured in 1985 per the male driver) but I'm only guessing. I have looked in Google under various spellings that might give that sound to no avail and I know no French.

Anybody got an idea?

Thanks
