Does anyone remember the telex machine that punched holes in narrow paper (about 1.5mm) as you typed the message, which you then threaded back though the machine, dialled the number where it was to be sent then started the machine which then went back through hole by hole. By the time you had finished a long message you would be almost drowning in tape and manys the time someone walked by and caught their foot in it and you then had to try to join it again, happy days.
