This one apparently has only one short spindle. One of mine has two, one of which is longer and pointed... works great for spinning. I used a drilled cork to make weaving bobbins fit, so I could fill them for the shuttles. The alternate spike slides easily into the cylinder. The drive band holds it firmly. Drive band missing on this one.
