61.4 million people in the UK.
3.8 million in Oregon.

Vancouver Island (where I live) is 1/8th the size of the UK.
Population, 0.75 million.

I wonder if the ratio of lacemakers to population is the same in all
three jurisdictions?

I was thinking if I lived on the east coast of Canada or the US, had a
bottomless wallet, and I liked airports a lot, I could fly over to the
UK almost on the day, to attend a lace day. Or -  that might have been
possible at one time, maybe not any more.
