This is nothing new.  Technology and culture have always affected each
other.  The latin alphabet evolved because of the need to carve
letters in blocks of granite.  (Or so I've heard.)  You may feel
nostalgic for a while, but in the end, yesterday's "affront to our
cultural heritage" will be tomorrow's "cherished traditions". :-)

Not that I believe all giving in to technology is right.  But I don't
believe it's all wrong either.  I much prefer to spend an hour
learning graffiti over trying to fight unpredictable handwriting
technology every day.
