For reasons I can never understand, any attempt to cc something to another forum here is a bit of a disaster, as the thing gets split up something rotten. You looked here, someone else posted a solution, but you wont see that. Someone suggested a fix on the laptops forum and it worked for me. Basically the fault lies with a driver which is used to get data on battery condition. You can prevent that driver from being loaded by the kernel. Once you get it installed, you can then put back a driver. I can't say the driver did much for me (battery information is still next to useless), but its not too difficult to get past the panics.
