I guess you talk about: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=67670&tstart=0 well removing the acpi driver might be a workaround to mask the underlaying problem, however looking at the bugs mentioned: 6723556 gnome does not track changes in battery level it started with build 93, build93 works fine for me and the fix in that bug is entierely in HAL daemon. hard to believe its causing the DDI panics with bad trap. the comments dont mention any panics at boot either and its P3, if this is really causing the panics, which I doubt, it should be P1. 6728564 Sony Vaio laptop hangs in install on b90 and higher as the subject sais, build90....so cant be this bug either. so there is something else rotten that gets masked by the workaround which is hard to use for new installs anyways from DVD. thanks frankB This message posted from opensolaris.org
