Just an update: The current NDIS 1.2.1 support (even with the "new" NDIS 1.2.1) for this chipset is pretty much unusable. I'm getting panics about 25% of the time when NDIS tries to load on boot, and if I place much load on the network link, the host panics or hard-hangs. So I'm removing it for the time being for regular use, and will only load it for testing purposes. Happy to help with testing this, if no one else has this chipset handy to work on.
I've already tried to boot with kmdb to start collecting information on why the problems occur, but when the system hard hangs, I'm unable to get the F1-A or Ctrl-Pause key sequences to let me break into kmdb. And panics appear to simply bypass kmdb and reset the system. Weird. That's good news about the wl driver. Let me know if I can help. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
