Wait a minute!!!  Several months ago you were touting the accomplishment
in this country that racism and racial discrimination had been eliminated
from our society. Now you're saying that no progress has been made and it
is useless to try to make any social changes or solve social problems. 
This seems like an incredible 180 degree change in your opinion on this. 
Surely you can't deny the major improvements, not only in women's rights
and civil rights, but the change in attitudes and beliefs in these areas
that have been seen over the past 40 years???  For God's sake, 30 years
ago they still had "White" and "Colored" bathrooms, drinking fountains,
restaurants etc.  If attitudes have not changed then why do you see white
people associating with black people?  Your statement seems quite
incredible to me.
