Hi all; I gave up with (k)ubuntu 11.04 and created a new build machine based on kubuntu 10.04 in a VM.
I successfully rebuild bering-uclibc from git repository 4.0-fixes branch. I ran into pb with git repository master building net-snmp (Andrew committed fixes, which seems to be the culprit). For the net-snmp build-log see below. That said, I agree with Erich, that I just see an error on (k)ubuntu 11.04, that I expect will happen on more current distros as well, so our buildenv needs to get improved. I can't solve it on my own, but I'm willing to help with logs and tests. With a build host in a VM I plan to backport fixes from master to 4.0-fixes and propose to create a refresh for 4.0 within a few days. David, I think ticket #48 can be solved quickly. Will you take care of? For 4.1 the following open issues come to my mind: - webconf 1.2 doubles traceroute and ping - Trac ticket #55 (ipsec makes no route?) There are more issues though :) kp **** net-snmp buildlog**** mkdir -p /opt/buildtool-master/build/net-snmp/etc/snmp make CC=/opt/buildtool-master/staging/bin/gcc-m32 LD=/opt/buildtool- master/staging/usr/bin/ld -C net-snmp-5.4.3 make[1]: Entering directory `/opt/buildtool-master/source/net-snmp/net- snmp-5.4.3' WARNING: not running autoheader making all in /opt/buildtool-master/source/net-snmp/net-snmp-5.4.3/snmplib make[2]: Entering directory `/opt/buildtool-master/source/net-snmp/net- snmp-5.4.3/snmplib' /bin/sh ../libtool --mode=compile /opt/buildtool-master/staging/bin/gcc-m32 - I../include -I. -I../snmplib -DNETSNMP_ENABLE_IPV6 -Os -march=i486 - mtune=pentiumpro -D_REENTRANT -Ulinux -Dlinux=linux -c -o snmp_client.lo snmp_client.c eval: 1: base_compile+= /opt/buildtool-master/staging/bin/gcc-m32: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -I../include: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -I.: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -I../snmplib: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -DNETSNMP_ENABLE_IPV6: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -Os: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -march=i486: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -mtune=pentiumpro: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -D_REENTRANT: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -Ulinux: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -Dlinux=linux: not found eval: 1: base_compile+= -c: not found libtool: compile: you must specify a compilation command libtool: compile: Try `libtool --help --mode=compile' for more information. make[2]: *** [snmp_client.lo] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/opt/buildtool-master/source/net-snmp/net- snmp-5.4.3/snmplib' make[1]: *** [subdirs] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/buildtool-master/source/net-snmp/net- snmp-5.4.3' make: *** [net-snmp-5.4.3/.build] Fehler 2 make: Verlasse Verzeichnis '/opt/buildtool-master/source/net-snmp' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
