hullo. I'm in need of a linux-based vpn client to connect to my employer's Secure Computing Sidewinder firewall. We currently have windows software, but I have a windows workstation behind a linux router and I believe that there is something in linux NAT that is causing the VPN to disconnect every 10-15 minutes or so. This could be an old wives' tale.
Anyway my old buddy Mike Noyes recommended leaf (Bering in particular). I don't know very much about IPSec or certificates and I was trying to figure out the docs on http://leaf.sourceforge.net/devel/jnilo/buipsec.html. I don't know how familiar any of you are with Sidewinder. We are given a couple of .pem files that are loaded in as the "Root CA Certificates" into SoftPK. We are also given a .p12 file for our own personal certs. And then a .spd file which is just the policy on which IPs to send over VPN etc. If anyone can help me get connected via linux and not have these constant disconnect issues I will be in your debt. Plus I could rid myself of windows at home. ;) Thanks, Don. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: SourceForge Enterprise Edition + IBM + LinuxWorld = Something 2 See! http://www.vasoftware.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html
