I never used Bering with HostAP mode in real live ..because it's hard to find Prism-Based Card in indonesia. But I used to run 4 wifi repeater. I used bering and Zebra at each repeater. Each bering box have 2 interface in it. One interface is Orinoco Wifi Card ... facing a AP-1000 "center repeater".
FYI, this backbone was used by 4 diferent ISP as their last mile backbone to their end users If You wish, I can redraw it and sent it to you.
