Julie, Bering-uClibc 2.3 uses a newer and different version of ifupdown (the one from busybox). The difference is that the one from Bering 1.2 only supported masklen and the one from Bering-uClibc only netmask. The older ifupdown used a private non standard patch, hence the difference.
