Also, Ridsdale is a leeds fan and had our best interests at heart, didn’t do
us much good did it?

Subsequently we had the professor and Krasner’s lot, all supposedly Leeds
people/fans, all made cash out of it at a direct cost to LUFC.

I think we have to accept that there are very few philanthropists with the
available disposable income to get into top level football. The rest are
there to make a living like the rest of us.

Bates has probably saved us in excess of £1m already by not dealing with
greedy agents or players.

If someone believe that Bates is into Leeds United FC for charity reasons,
I'd suggest think it over again!

Bates - Leeds, remember?

Of course there is money into his pocket - in addition to the fun he's got!

- - -

And Kilgallon overrated etc.; I'd take one of our own, from our own academy,
young, willing, and even somewhat talented / U-23 selected; before even more
overrated "old boys" / veteran player; over the top, in it for the money, no
feelings for Leeds etc. any day!

If Killo didn't want to play for Leeds - we should be told; including the
reason why...

Well i guess we'll probably never know for sure, but i struggle to view
Bates as a philanthropist, shelling out money on Leeds with no guaranteed
return.

If Bates is taking money out - i'm not sure it matters if it's direct or
not.

It's interesting you say that, seeing as noone actually knows who owns the
Virgin Island company, but anyhow, we'd be paying the rent to Adler, so for
us lot it makes no difference where the money goes. Its not like Bates sold
the ground to begin with is it!?

The one main difference with Bates is that he isn't taking money direct from
LUFC, unlike everyone else previously involved with owning and running the
club an who have ALSO ripped us off.

Maybe he doesn't need the money direct from the company as he's getting a
million a year rent from a Property he owns in the North of England through
his Virgin Islands Company.

1. He doesn't get paid by the company, so any benefit he gets will be by
investing the cash into the infrastructure and getting the benefit when he
sells.

2. Unless we want to spiral into oblivion then we need to have some money
for next season if we go down, so not splashing it all now wouldn't
necessarily be a bad thing

3. My guess is that Wise will get the money to spend, but they aren't going
to advertise that fact (and drive up prices), and also it might be difficult
to actually spend it because who would want to come to us right now!
