5 million...no chance....!
He does NOT have a proven track record of scoring at the top level. A decent
spell internationally for a nation that doesn't draw from the largest pool
of talent does NOT make him one of the top strikers in Europe.
My case will be supported by those that come shopping for him. I firmly
believe that Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Manu, Arsenal, Liverpool,
Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen, Lyon, Juventus, Inter Milan, etc WILL
not be licking their chops at being able to purchase the services of Mr.
Healy. I mean if any of these clubs thought they could buy one of the top
International strikers in Europe for 5 million they'd be in for him in
queues.
If anyone believes Mr. Healy is one of the top strikers in Europe then
clearly they don't know what they are talking about. So go on...tell me
where he's going!
And remember we aren't exactly a strong seller...bankrupt...3rd
division...yep...I'm sure it's all Mr. Bates faultm when he goes for around
1.5 million.

I don't think it matters who you play FOR when it comes to scoring goals, it
matters how many you score and against whom. Healy has been scoring at will
at the highest level in Europe - the European Championship - against top
teams. The fact that he's playing for Northern Ireland only increases his
value,
as everyone will figure that it takes a special striker to score hat tricks
for a small, unfancied side like that. Or do you reckon Eidur Gudjohnssen is
crap because he also comes from a small, northern European country?

As for us not being a strong seller - surely we are. Healy is on contract.
We have no need to sell. Bates has been telling us for ages that we're no
longer a selling club, and that now he's been given the control of the club
we've
turned the corner. Surely he couldn't have been lying about that, could he? I
mean, if Healy only matches your valuation of 1.5 million, that means he's
worth only three-quarters of what each of those two kids who went to Chelsea
brought in. How do you figure that? Do you really think those kids are each
that much better than Healy? Again, I say that I will judge Bates (who,
according to his supporters, never, ever lets Leeds get ripped off) by how
much he
manages to get for Healy.
