I'm sure that I have already agreed (see earlier thread) that that
particular version of events was of course accurate. Anyone who thinks
otherwise must have their own reasons for thinking whatever they might
think. Not me though as your arguments have thoroughly convinced me.
Absolutely.

There was nothing corrupt about KPMG who said that this CVA was the only
possible offer to put to the meeting because Astor had written to say that
they would reject any other CVA proposal (and KPMG stated to the meeting
that this rejection applied even to the extent of 100% of repayment of all
debts) and that according to KPMG the Football League insisted on having a
CVA approved.
Hence they had to propose this one as any other one would be rejected by
Astor. That is what was written and said according to KPMG and this is not
my opinion in any way. In much the same way as Bates deserves full credit
for saving us yet again, I suggest that it is only fair to recognise that
KPMG deserve full credit for saving us from the football league. That of
course is only my opinion but without their actions and the wise advice of
Walker Morris, the club would have accidentally fallen foul of the football
league rules (as interpreted by KPMG).
We are extremely fortunate to have so many saviours all around us.
You also forget that KPMG have stated very clearly that they accepted the
Bates CVA proposition because at that time there simply were no other offers
on the table.
Why you wish to suggest that Bates found a corrupt administrator is not
clear to me and and I certainly would not agree with you on that point
especially given the situation they faced. I can't see how KPMG had much
room to move unless they were prepared to throw the whole arrangement out as
being suspect in some way, and step in to take control of the club
themselves and open the situation up to wider offers. That clearly was not
an option because the club needed to be able to trade in the market for
players immediately and without further delay. So you see, I really do
understand the position in which KPMG found themselves and I can do no other
than put my weight behind your arguments and help them on their inevitable
way as much as I possibly can. Keep up the good work on behalf of our
football club.
