1. Hereford match; surprised that totally anal commentator Martin Tyler totally failed to spot the fact that Easton on the Hereford left was confronting Weston on the Leeds right. He used to be a great commentator on Leeds matches for Yorkshire TV, but he has evolved into the most annoying git since Barry Davies. He rarely tells you anything you need to know about the action eg the name of the player with the ball, but loves to spot the most arcane connections eg "and so player x comes on in the 54th minute, which is three more than the number of times his father played rugby for Wales."
2. Interesting day for ex-Leeds players yesterday. Or rather Leeds players, as i still think of them since they were all stolen from us by all those carpet-bagging clubs who picked over the bones of our demise. Goals for Milner, Weasel face (2) and a hilarious Strachan-style og by Eddie Lewis. [that's 4 out of the 9 goals scored yesterday] Once Nobworthy had to go off for Sunderland and Rich Walker's "Dozy bollocks" moved across to RB, I couldn't believe that Allardyce didn't instruct Newcastle to just feed Milner & zogbia and tell them to run at Harte in the second half. They only really did it twice; the first produced the goal, and the second resulted in an incredible tackle from Harte which you have to say he would never have managed to repeat. 3. Derby,eh? What a total shambles! They have got to be the worst team in the PL ever. It's a shame because that Billy Davies seems like such a nice young man! 4. Leeds United............we are apparently debt-free and finally on an upward curve again. I wonder what will happen in January. Have all these bumper crowds given us enough financial stability to resist attempts to buy the likes of Beckford, Groucho, Howson & Parker? 5. Has anybody on this list got any connections with the LUFC scouting system? If so, plse contact me offlist b/c I have seen a fantastic 13 yr old Swiss kid who played against my school in a Tournament here in Bangkok last w/e. I am sure this kid is going to be something very special.
